Volkher Jacobsen
(Manager, Flight Training Centre)
Volkher joined the ACMA team in April 2009 and has a clear vision of
his management and leadership role. Based on Daniel Ch. 1, Volkher
relates the story of Daniel from the Tribe of Judah and his three
compatriots, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Based purely on a
disciplined and Godly life, these four men excelled themselves above
all others in Nebuchadnezzar’s Kingdom. Knowledge and skill were
paramount, and it is this that Volker desires for his graduates.
Training his students to participate on the worldwide mission aviation
arena on a long-term basis, Volkher instills the message: Fly Safe –
Fly Smart – Fly with Compassion.
Volkher was born into a mission family based in PNG and attended German
schools until his appointment in the German Air Force as Corporal.
Volkher is married to Christina (from Pennsylvania, USA) and they have
three children, Lucia, Vincent and Tristan. The Jacobsen family joined
MAF in 1995 serving in Arnhem Land and then PNG for 13 years, where
Volkher was a line-pilot, base manager, training and checking pilot,
and finally the Chief Pilot and Operations Manager.
